Black Copper Marans - straight run
Our Black Copper Marans will be mostly black in color with a green sheen and copper hackles when grown out. The hens tend to produce on average 4 medium/dark brown eggs each week during the laying season. Since we use our BCMs to breed for Olive Eggers, we chose lines that lay lighter eggs - a 4-5 on the Marans scale. You can see one of our BCM eggs on top in the picture along side a white, blue Cream Crested Legbar egg, and Olive egg.
We have very limited quantities as we keep small breeding groups to ensure quality, care, and health of our birds.
All chicks are pickup only at our farm in East Freetown, Ma. Please select a pickup day/time once added to your cart. Order minimum is 2 chicks (can be multiple breeds).
